Great fun for reading time!

My daughter loves this book! She's less than two years old, but she loves to flip the tabs while I'm reading to her. I like the book too. The story is well-written enough that even though I must have read it at least fifty times since I bought it, I'm not quite sick of it yet. The CD seems to have been recorded by a group of British voice actors with colorful accents and animated voices--fun to listen to!
Only down side is that although the tabs are securely glued in, they are not toddler-proof. Luckily, a little glue or tape is all that is needed to fix a removal--provided the little one doesn't eat the tab. Heh. The fact that the tabs are glued in and not cut out from the page means that they are easier for little fingers to manipulate--definitely a plus with my little girl!
This book has been really great fun for us. I'm looking forward to receiving more from this series soon!

Re-readable

We got this for my son about a year ago. He was 4 at the time. It is one of those books he will ask me to read night after night at bedtime and I rarely get sick of it, which is saying something. He likes to do the flaps. The book has held up well, but he isn't as hard on them as he used to be. Not sure if we have ever even listened to the CD. A cute version of a classic story with kid-friendly illustrations. I would definitely recommend.

Adorable book!

What an adorable book! While I am giving this as a gift to my 5 year old Grandson, all of my grown children loved this in their library here at home! This is truly a great book, not only does it include a CD, but it has "windows" to open as you are reading the story. Not only is this a creative story, but it has a subtle message. This particular book will, no doubt, be a favorite. I plan on buying a few more in the future for gifts.
