About the Author
Murugesan Venkatapathi was born in Coimbatore. He joined a military boarding school at the age of 10; played hockey for Tamil Nadu and represented his University in other sports, primarily to stay away from his classes, he avers. Destiny turned him away from becoming a fighter pilot or lawyer, while the family wisdom nudged him into engineering. Finally, Physics, his first love, caught up with him during his graduate days at the University of North Carolina. He finished his PhD at Purdue University and worked there for a few years. In 2009, he took up a position at the grand old Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, where he is Assistant Professor, working in the areas of Physics and Applied Mathematics. Simply Wonderful

It is indeed a good book. Mostly physicists and philosophers included. However, the best ones are Muru's own quotes. The book truly indicates Muru's deep introspect into these subjects and his personal experiences.
While the book can be read in less than an hour, some of Muru's quotes are still ringing in my ears. A few can definitely persuade one to brood over these short sentences which truly have a tendency to become messages.
